William Manire was born in 1710 in North Farnham Parish, Richmond County, Virginia to John & Ann Dew Manire. He's listed in the North Farnham Parish Birth Records for 1663 - 1814 in Richmond County, Virginia on page 125. The birth records were compiled and published by George H. S. King.

William married Ann Stone, daughter of William Stone and Elizabeth Drennett, about 1735 in Richmond County, Virginia. Ann was born March 5, 1713 in North Farnham Parish, Richmond County, Virginia. Of this marriage they had 3 known children: John, William and Elizabeth.

In 1747 William Stone deeded 200 acres of land to Anne and William Manire in Amelia County, Virginia for 5 shillings (and "for the natural love and affection said Stone doth bear his daughter Anne, wife of William Manire.") It's listed in the Deed Book 3, page 31 for Amelia County, Virginia on March 15, 1747.

Ann's father William Stone had a will dated December 2, 1748 and was recorded April 21, 1749. A copy is listed in the Wills 1735 - 1761 Book 1 on page 55 in Amelia County, Virginia. Son-in-Law ,William Manire, was listed as the executor of the will.

On May 18, 1767 Phillip Stone of Dobbs County, North Carolina sells land to William Manire of Amelia County, for 85L and for divers other good causes, a certain tract of land in Amelia County and bounded by Nottoway River, Poythris, Dibdallis Holt, etc. It was recorded June 25, 1767 and is listed in the Deed Abstracts Book 9, page 150 for Amelia County, Virginia. I'm guessing this is Phillip Stone, brother of Anne Stone Manire.

William Manire sells to Peter Paythrees, 58 acres in Amelia County, Virginia. It�s listed in the Deed Abstracts Book 9, page 152 for Amelia County, Virginia on June 4, 1767. Could this Peter Paythrees be the Poythris listed in the Land Abstract listed above from Phillip Stone?

William Manire sells to Joseph Harper of Dinwiddie County, land in Amelia County, Virginia. It's listed in the Deed Abstracts Book 9, page 348 for Amelia County, Virginia on March 18, 1768.  Could this be the Harper that Sarah Stone married?

William Manire sells to William Manire, Jr. land on Nottoway River in Dinwiddie County, Virginia. It's listed in the Deed Book 10 on page 117 for November 20, 1768.

"The Church in North Farnham Parish where William and Anne worshipped was made of red brick and is still in use. The interior is very pretty and well kept with stone floors and doors to the pews." As seen and observed by Bill and Mary Manire.

William Manire, Jr. was born about 1739 in North Farnham Parish, Richmond County, Virginia. He's the youngest son of William and Anne Manire. We know that his father deeded him some land on the Nottoway River in 1768. He was about 29 years old at that time. In 1770 his brother John sells him some land. It�s recorded in the Will Book no. 12 for 1771 on page 305 in Amelia County, Virginia. That's about all we know about him.

Elizabeth Manire was the only known daughter of William and Anne Manire. She was born April 30, 1740 in North Farnham Parish, Richmond County, Virginia. Nothing else is known about her.
