John married Ann Dew, daughter of Thomas Dew and Elizabeth Barber, in 1710 in Virginia. Ann was born about 1685 in Virginia. Of this marriage they had 4 children: William, Ann, Catern, and Usher.

Now John signed a will on September 10, 1716 in Richmond County, Virginia. He died in November of 1717 in Richmond County, Virginia. He was about 37 years old when he died. The will, in which he named all 4 children, was presented to the Court on November 6, 1717 in Richmond County, Virginia. The will was listed under the name John Manear on Page 353 of the Wills and Inventories for 1709 � 1717 in Richmond County, Virginia, Book 3.

Ann died September 6, 1731 in North Farham Parish, Richmond County, Virginia. She was about 46 years old when she died.

Ann Manire was the oldest girl according to her fathers� will. She might have been born about 1711. It is believed that she married Felix O�Conely sometime before April 2, 1719 in Richmond County, Virginia.

That brings up the question of did she or Felix die April 2, 1719? What happened April 2, 1719? Not much else is known about her except that in her father�s will she was given a feather bed and some furniture.

The youngest girl was Catern Manire. Could her name have been Catherine? She might have been born about 1713, probably in Richmond County, Virginia like the rest of her siblings. Not much is known about her except that in her fathers� will she was given the best feather bed and some furniture.

The youngest son was Usher Manire. He was born August 31, 1715 in North Farham Parish, Richmond County, Virginia. According to his father�s will he got more or less half of the 50 acres that his father owned. The land was split between him and his older brother William Manire. Not much else is known about Usher.
