Will of John Manear, September 10, 1716 In the name of God amen I John Manear being sick in body but in good and perfect memory do herein make this my last will and testament as followeth. I do give my soul to God who made it hoping through Jesus Christ to receive pardon and ??? for all my sins. Next I do give my body to the earth to be decently buried and as to worldly estate I do give and bequeath as followeth. I do give and bequeath my fifty akers (Acres) of land more or less to be equally divided between my Loving Wife�s two sons Wm. Manear and Usher Manear. Imprimis I do give and bequeath unto my Loving Wife�s daughter Cathrin Manear the best feather bed and furniture that belong to me. Item I do give and bequeath unto my Loving Wife�s oldest daughter Ann Manear a ??? feather bed and furniture. It is my desire that all my whole estate may be divided between my dear Loving Wife and my four children � only except the Legacies that I leave to my Children and I desire that my last Will and Testament may be performed to all interests and meaning.
