It's been awhile since I've updated my website... I had a few moves and that kinda wiped out the progress I was making for awhile... but hey I'm back at it again... Hopefully this will be interesting to my fellow researchers. Researcher's Notes: Let me tell you alittle about what I've been up to. I tend to scour the web for new info on a certain family branch (which ever one I'm working on at the time). I've been scouring Ancestry.com.... actually lately I've been wading thru the Censuses. I've found that whoever indexed the Censuses (no offense to the Volunteers that did it) had a bit of trouble reading the writing... That's why it's so hard to find certain people under their right names... one example: Drury Bennett... was listed as Diny Bennett. Alot of them I can actually read the name okay and it's not the way the Indexer saw it... oh well! Now if I have found a Census or a Document for someone I have tried to put a copy of the original copy (from Ancestry.com of coarse) but I crop it down to show only the info for that family...Not sure about copyright laws about that ... but hey it's not like I'm selling the stuff... it's for research purposes and sharing with fellow researchers... I'll have to get back on all that... wouldn't wanna get into trouble... Also any pictures I have collected or found I'm putting in also. I would love to add any other pictures that any one is willing to send my way... There are some I've put in that are other's pictures and I've been trying to give credit where it's due.. there are a few I just couldn't find who or where I got them from.. So if you see one of your pictures please let me know.. and if anyone has a problem with my using the pictures please let me know so I can remove it... I'm hoping no one will have a problem. I was working with the PDF format but found even I was having troubles seeing it or finding a free webhosting place that will accept PDFs. So over a few days I revamped what I had done into HTML (webpages). For myself I've been putting all my research in what I call my "Book" format. And eventually I hope to put it into a book for my Family and whoever. But right now I'm just putting the info online in a semi - "Book" format.... Right now I just have the pages in ABC order of sorts... As I get new pages(people) done I'll add them to my Index (which is in ABC order according to Last name, then first name). I'm not necessarily adding the people in any kind of order... so check back often to see who is new... For Prosperity and breaking thru brick walls... I've left "supposed facts".. so not everything is correct. You will know what is Documented Fact... I'm finding that a lot of researching the History of our eariler Ancestors is some Math work, living patterns (kinda like Anthropology I believe it is), and a lot of guess work. Think of some of this stuff as my "Sounding Board"...
"I don't take all the credit for the research.. though I did some of my own research or tried to double checked others' research. I do take credit for piecing it all together into a huge, cohesive Family Tree. And I take credit for all the questions I have within..." - CeCe Beth |
